Sisters Win District Playoff

KENO WOMEN’S FOURBALL PAR DISTRICT PLAY-OFF
The army of volunteers at Deniliquin Golf Club made certain every requirement for our lady golfers was in place. Beautifully groomed golf course, easy-order lunch menu and golf carts at the ready.
Unfortunately the one thing out of their control was the weather! Local farmers desperately needing rain received a light overnight shower. Annoyingly a strong, chilly breeze that brought the rain sent ladies scurrying for the extra jumper in the golf bag. Needless to say the gusty wind did cause havoc for some of the twenty-three pair doing battle to be the lucky winners to represent RLGA at Bonville Golf Resort in November.
‘Sister act’, Jenny Thomas and Helen Spears from Commercial Albury Golf Club managed for hold steady and come in with plus 10 to win the day. Close on their heels were mother and daughter duo, Trish Clark and Margaret Naseby from Coleambally Golf Club scoring plus 9.
Best wishes go with Jenny and Helen for an enjoyable and successful golfing trip to Bonville.
